Location: Oswego, IL | For those of you who may be getting rid of your winch because you now want to speed things up for spring and summer, you can change out the gears to the 5:4:1 or the 6:4:1 for about $40 in parts. Im just letting you know if that is your reason, instead of losing money on your purchase you can swap out the gears. And have a spare set to swap back. Im in the process of doing that now but I noticed again so many being sold. |

| How hard is it to switch the gears out? |

Location: Oswego, IL | Have you ever opened one up to clean it? Pretty easy. I did mine already the first time sucked because it took time. But after knowing the parts and where they go, not bad. Just pull them out and swap them make sure you call pure fishing to get e right parts there's three of them. Pikemaster will do it for you if you don't feel comfortable doing it. You can Pm him for details. He actually also tunes them which I need to have him do on mine. |

Location: Oswego, IL | Yes call them, tell them exactly what your doing "converting the winch to a different gear ratio" tell them which ones you want, and your set, they will send the correct parts. |

| So is it then possible to go from a 5.4 to the 4.6? Seems likely, but just wanted to make sure.
Thanks,
Matt |

Location: Oswego, IL | Yes you can change into any of the three they offer for the Toro's, what you will need:
MAIN GEAR
PINION GEAR
PINION GEAR HOLDER
Call Abu and swap them yourself, or kindly ask Pikemaster and he will do it all for (get parts and swap) (and tune if you want it) at a good price |

| What do you mean by tune? What kind of benefit does this offer?

Location: Oswego, IL | Ask Pikemaster - the source. I know he polishes some parts but its best to reach out to him directly. |
