They're not on the wrong side, you're just holding the rod the wrong way up! |

| I'm glad they're not on the right side. I would have to convince my wife that $150 is cheap and I need it. Well, actually I would have bought it first, then did the convincing later. |

Ohhhhhh....that's it. I'm holding it upside down. At least I'm holding the right end of the rod.....the fat end, right??? |

| its never too late to fish like a real right handed(no hand switch) |

| Confuses me too.
Why is that a right handed person casts with their right hand and then switches and holds the reel with their weaker left hand. I find that very odd.
With the new power handles even a toddler can turn the crank so even if a person has a completely weak left hand they should still crank with their left hand and hold the reel with their strong hand.......their right hand if they are right handed. |

| I bought one a while ago. I have been looking at getting a left handed reel and this was an oppotunity to get one at a good price. I use spinning reels for everything but musky/pike fishing so I am thinking it won't be that big of a deal. The plus will be quicker transfer from casting to reeling, being able to switch off during the day and I am thinking the transition from the figure 8 to casting will be smoother. I think most of us just used right handed reels because that is all that was out there when we first used a bait caster. Of course when I started the spool didn't disengage and you had to watch out for that spinning handle on a cast |
