| I have read some past posts regarding rain gear because I am looking to upgrade my rain pants. I was wondering what your favorite brand of rain pant “bibs” are based on effectiveness, comfort and mobility. The new Frabill FXE Storm Suit looks fantastic but I can’t justify dropping $230.00 for rain pants. Your thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated. |

Location: Kodiak, AK | My thought is, "buy the best rain gear you can afford."
My opinion is, I have the 100 mph bibs that have done me very well. They're just heavy so this winter I bought a pair of the new Under Armour bibs to use in the summer. They're lighter, fit like jeans and move easily.
Whatever you end up with get taped seams and the best breathability you can. Rain gear is not an area you want to scrimp in. It can be expensive, but when you need it you'll be glad you spent the coin on it. |

| I really like the Cabela's X300 gear. I have an older version, but have used it on many occasions including kneeling on the ice/snow while ice fishing. My gear is about 4 years old and holds up very well in the toughest fishing conditions of wind/rain/snow. This is going to be my gear of choice on my winter camping excursion as well. They have done a great job with this gear and it's sub $200.00. From a cost perspective, there are some baggier rubber options out there that I am sure are very good from a water proof perspective, but they are not as comfortable. |

I've got two separate sets of Impertech (bibs and jakets) and all but one pair of bibs started to delaminate and fall apart after a year or two. I love the stuff when it's not falling apart, but I've had bad luck with it. It sounds like your's is holding up better than mine. |

| I received my bibs today so I would have to say that everything went very well with the order and I would order from them again. The bibs are awesome and probably the best pair I have tried on comfort wise. The next test will be on the water in a rainstorm and I can’t wait! Thanks for all your suggestions guys. |
