Location: Stevens Point, WI | 27's are good, but they aren't the biggest battery available. However, depending on your battery area, those might be the biggest batteries that fit in your allotted battery area. Are they good batteries? Yes. |

| 165 Nav tiller, just casual fishing, but on the river most times. Are 2-27's not enough? 80lb I-Pilot TM.

Location: Red Wing, Minnesota | 2 - 27 series will work just fine for you. I've used them for many years on mine. 31's are best if you can fit them but you don't NEED them. |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | Yep, I would agree. They make 31's, but I'm guessing they will not fit in your boat and they are $30 or so more per battery. It doesn't take much to move that boat around, you'll have plenty of go power. |

| Good catch HH! Ended up with the Nav. Money played a small role. |

Location: Elk River, Minnesota | I have the Navigator 165... The 27s should be plenty for it. I have a 65 Autopilot on mine, and the only time I have run through the batteries was on a trip to Lake of the woods last year where the wind was high all week, then the resort we were staying at would turn off the generator over night, so I never had a full charge. Cost me some fishing time during the day...
If it is really windy (20mph or so) that would be the only limit to your battery life, given you start with full batteries.
