| I'm in the market for a graph/gps unit and have been looking at the new 597 with the DI and also looking at the 797 with the Side Imaging. not sure i need the SI but the 597 looks nice but I cant find any reviews from places that aren't selling it.........so what are your thoughts and expeirences with it????? |

| The 597 is a new unit pry not too much out about it right now...If you do a search on google you should be able to find a few sites that people are talking about them, bassboatcentral for one...Im pretty sure that the 797 is discontinued to the 798 series. Whether you want side imaging or not is up to you. One thing is the units with side imaging also have down imaging.
http://www.reedssports.com has the old model 798 (same as new minus the use of ethernet) for $798 shipped the 798hd is $1049. |

Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | Talked to a good friend of mine at the northwest sportshow this weekend and he just had his first experience with the down imaging. His words were it is just ridiculous, the amount of information we have been missing. He purchased his system at the show this weekend. He went with Lowrance because that is what he is familiar with. We sell a few more Lowrance systems here as well but both of us sales guys have been using the Lowrance products for many years so we probably push them a little more. I have sold quite a few Humminbirds with DI and Lowrance with Downscan nothing but smilin' faces so far. |
