Location: Grand Forks ND | Lots of books on muskies and where they will be at certain points during the year. Is there a book that covers baitfish movements, spawning habits and such for species like minnows and even larger fish such as cisco and bullhead.
Thanks,

Really, j/k, not to be smart. One book that covers baitfish movements would be great. I would buy it. Just not sure if it exists all in one book. |

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | Would be tough to do considering each water body will different baitfish movement “quirks”. One could be written on generalities though.
Or you could just read publications like In-Fisherman for a lot of that info. Also just do searches on the web for specific species that you want to know more about.
Perhaps the best way is to be a multi-species fisherman.

Location: Green Bay, WI | There's a great text book that is pretty much the bible for this kind of thing. It's called "Fishes of Wisconsin", by Becker. While a printed copy is over $100, you can access it for free online through Seagrant. Check out this link:
http://seagrant.wisc.edu/greatlakesfish/becker.html
You should be able to find everything you're looking for in that book. You might have to install the viewer application that enables the content--but it's free, and straightforward to do.

EDIT: Apparently the automated DjVU plug-in installer script isn't working anymore. So hit this link, and choose the correct version of their free plug-in:

I just downloaded and installed both a Mac OS X version, and the latest version for Winows (v6.1.4) in the .msi format. They both work just fine.
You only have to install the viewer once, and then you can view the content on the Seagrant site to your heart's content. It sure beats buying a $100+ textbook, and it's MUCH lighter to carry around!
