Location: Yahara River Chain | I heard from a fellow muskie member that the muskies are beginning to stage below the dam below Wingra near the zoo. He said he saw 15 of them today.
Let the jumping begin!!

You should give Jay lip ripper or muskyhunter24 a pm to see if they could post something. They are down there all the time. |

Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | The pictures from last year are great. I sent them to my partner a different pic every hour during the day. It's like your looking at a school of tarpon or tuna, and they make great screen savers.

Location: SE Wisconsin | ... yeah, "It's Starting" to snow WAY too late into the spring for my taste, lol. Musky are showing up at the Down Town Waukesha Dam on the Fox, too Pretty neat. . . Too bad I have to have the TIP-DNR number on speed dial |

Location: Richland Center, WI. | Was in Madison Saturday April 2nd so decided to check the Wingra spillway. Wind and sun on the water prevented this rookie from getting any really good pics. Saw 5 different muskies with one good sized female in the bunch. No jumpers, just milling around at this point. Might check it in another week!

Location: Madison WI | I went down their for the 1st time on Saturday, saw a few and saw 4 attempt to get over but none made it. I have heard that their is a creel net at the opening of the creek by Olin, anyone know anything about this? I will try to get some pics up when I figure out how to make them a smaller size with an Apple.

Location: Richland Center, WI. | Agreed! Nice pics Jeff. That first one sure looks familiar. That looks like the big girl I tried to post above. By any chance were you there with a couple of little girls? I saw a guy there with what I assume were his daughters who were pretty excited to see the big fish. The guy was telling his girls that he had caught fish like that. I wanted to talk fishing with him but did not want to interupt his time with his kids.

One would love to believe this is true but it really isn't. I have only been down there one day and I already had to tell a father and his 2 sons that game fish season was still closed and to stop throwing those spinnerbaits. It isn't a constant thing but I would have to think that there is at least 1 person per day that tries to either fish outside the signs for gamefish or inside the signs. |

That's why I have the WDNR tipline in my call list. It is nice to tell them but they may be well aware and doing it anyways. IMO, people like that don't really learn unless they are ticketed. Then again, the DNR could take hours to show up but you've got to have a little faith. |

Yeah it all depends on the situation and like you said DNR sometimes do take hours to show up but that is because they are under staffed and not their fault. This was a father who wasn't fishing for gamefish and his 2 sons that were under 13, I figured I would tell them and see what their response was. They obliged without any hassle. They were at least smart enough to be fishing outside the refuge. |

| I was down there today with my daughter. I counted 9 with three of them around 48'. Only lasted a few minutes because it started to rain and a4 year olds attention only lasts for 30 seconds. |

They sure seem to jump with a treble hook in their mouth.
Great pics. Ski Patrol - that one from a couple of years ago is awesome. The full size image would make a great wallpaper.
I wish I lived closer, I would love to check that out. |

LOL. Somewhat kidding dude, don't take it personal.
After second look, I can see a little shadow in the last pic and that's about it. But now that you say that, I have noticed big differences in my monitor at home and at work. Probably needs some adjustments, last time I was checked I had 20/20.
Cool though. Some year I'll make it down there to check that out. |

Location: Yahara River Chain | Hi all,
We (Cap City MI & the WDNR) are making a informational sign (aka kiosk) to inform those at the Wingra Dam about the jumping muskies. Kurt Welke with the WDNR is looking for high res picture of a jumping muskie to use on the sign. If you have any and would allow us to use it, please send it to [email protected]
Thanks so much
Later
