| Here's a couple pics of my attempt at a sheath for my net to elimate the scratches in my fiberglass. I used a $7.00 mechanics fender protector from Wal-Mart as my material with some upholstry thread. |

| Nice job....[] |

| Looks very good!! Is the material pretty tight to the yoke? Did you use any adhesive, or only the sewing?
| |
| No adhesive, all rather poor I might add, sewing. Piece on the handle is just loose enough to allow the handle to retract through it. The part around the hoop is sewn inbetween the webbing in the net so it doesn't slide and therefore doesn't need to be affixed directly to the yolk with any adhesive. |
| |
| Take it to the bank...pre-cut the material in bulk + design a nylon thread that can be run through holes in the material + tightened...a potential market for sure as they would be pre-made + easily attached to the net frame! Better yet, use Velcro to attach the material around the net frame in a snug fashion...I think it will work![::)] |

| Spongee believe me I have thought about it. Velcro was my thoughts as well. Problem is Bruce Beckeman has something in the works and the channel in place to get traction with it fast. Also, musky fisherman are CHEAP. You'd have trouble making money on this thing. |

Check out the New Beckman Boat Protector. This unit is designed by Beckman nets to fit over the handle and yoke. It is made of a padded ballisic nylon and attaches with a velcro strap, It is on The Beckman web site at Beckmannet.com or Call the factory at 608-274-2315 for more info...This solves many of the scratching problems on the fiberglass boats. |

| That's a great looking yolk cover Bruce came out with but that's all it covers, the yolk. What about the 20-30% of the net hoop which rests on the boat when you are trying to work on the fish? That's the part of the net that's be scratching up my boat. |

| There is also hi density rubber tubing available that fits underneath the netting. This was made special for Beckman and it will be available very soon. This has been tested and it works in conjunction with The Boat Protector. You must remove the two screws and carefully pull the yoke off the hoop. Then slide the tubes about 12" over each side of the hoop next to and butt them up to the yoke when you re-assemble. If you need to contact me at my e-mail [email protected]. We realize this has been a problem, and belive me I am doing all I can to resovle it at a reasonable cost. |
