Location: Detroit River | I use Power Pro as well. Why fix what ain't broke? However, I did consider buying the new Suffix 832 braid. I checked it out at Cabelas today & that stuff looks good. Cost a little less than PP.

| I like PowerPro and Invisabraid. I may look at the 832 stuff for a Fall reel as it should absorb less water. |

Location: Bloomington, IL | Spiderwire Stealth. Quiet, soft/supple and not hard to get backlashes out on the occassion when that happens, and doesn't absorb/soak up water like some of the others do. I've tried Power Pro, Tuff Line, Tuff Line XP, and Stren. I like Spiderwire Stealth hands down. |

| I really like Spiderwire Ultacast. Much better than PP that I used before. The new Flouro Braid is made like Sufix's 832. I wonder how much difference there is in the 2. 832 sure is getting a lot of hype. Each has a strand of Gore in it. I also have a couple of spools of Masterbraid that I haven't tried yet. |

| I have a reels with a diff braid on each one. My favorite is suffix performance braid. Bought a spool of 832 to try this year to replace a spool of vicious which I didn't care for. For me it's PP or suffix. |

Location: South East Wisconsin | I’m always hesitant to switch lines been using PP for years now and haven’t experienced any problems. However I have heard good things about the Sufix 832. Might have to break down and try it this year. |

Location: West Virginia | Stren Sonic Braid here. Although I have no complaints and like it better than power pro, I believe when I respool I will try the new Suffix out. Thay are by far my favorite mono line but have never used their braid. |

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | I played with the 832 and didn't like what I saw the weave seemed loose and loose means it will carry water.
Sunline FX2 is new to the scene and after fishing it last fall it is the best braid I've ever fished. |

| I tried Daiwa's Samurai Braid 100lb last season... awesome stuff!! It's a 8-braid weave making it silky smooth, stronger and thinner line diameter. I'd say their 100lb is equivalent to PP 80lb diameter.
I've used PP for many years but I’m now considering switching all over to Samurai. Being that it's a tighter weave it absorbs less water as well. Can't make one negative comment using it last season...other than it is pricey stuff.
Anyone else try this line? |

Location: Hayward, WI | I've been using 80lb Cortland Masterbraid for a few years now and like it. There might be something better out there but I haven't found a reason to switch yet. Seems to stay pretty dry, holds up well, doesn't backlash easily. That pretty much meets my criteria!
I have used Spiderwire Stealth a very little bit and it seems pretty good too.

Another vote for the Bronzeback. But, I did have one big spool of Hi-Seas (cant remember the specific make) that was pretty rock solid in 100lb. |
