| hey guys im looking to get a muskie reel and i need to decide soon. it is between the shimano calcutta 400b or the abu garcia revo toro 60 with the 5:4:1 gear ratio. im looking to use pretty much anything. what real would be a better overall choice? please help!

Buy whatever is more comfortable for you. Some people like the low profile reels other people hate them. I happen to love them and I don't feel comfortable using a standard "round" reel anymore. |

| Go with the Revo Toro 60. If you get the revo make sure you do not overfill the spool! |

| I'd lean toward the Calcutta... Things are tanks.. And $40-$60 cheaper than a revo...
However... If your lefty, I'd call Rollies and get one of the $150 revos.. Must be discontinuing that model or something, cause I've seen them for that price elsewere.. Only the one model is that cheap though..Think its the 61 sized 5.4-1... Wish I was a lefty. |
