I'm looking to do some switching around of units - selling a Humminbird I have and getting a new Mark 5x without downscan to use on my MK US2.
I also have an LMS-334...

Anyway, question is.... will the transducer that comes in the box with the Mark 5x work on an LMS unit?

Yes, I believe so, but you won't get a temp reading with that transducer. I suggest keeping the ducer that came with each unit together, that way you won't have any issues or functions that won't work by matching units with other components.

Thanks T.J., that's pretty much what I figured. I don't have a transducer for my LMS-334, since it has been attached to my trolling motor since new (sold the trasnducer for whatever reason) - so, was hoping to put the Mark 5 at the bow with a US2 connector, and the LMS at the console and use the Mark 5 transducer with it.... oh well.

You can replace the 334 ducer just about anywhere, the HST-WSBL ducer is still being used by the HDS units. Check on Ebay, you can find ducers pretty cheap.
