| Anyone know what this combo would weigh, with ranger trailer? Or ballpark weight? Looking at new vehicles and was hoping I could get away with a V6. Car says it can trail 6,600lbs. Thanks. |

| I tow a Ranger 680T which is a little lighter than the 681 but comparable. I have no problem towing my boat in drive with 2006 Chevy Trailblazer LS (I6 engine, no tow package, truck frame). If I tow in 3rd I have more than adequate power. I don't have breaks on my trailer and haven't had problems stopping in a hurry when needed... adequate wheelbase. Would recommend getting a trailer with breaks if you can. What vehicle are you looking at? |

| It really depends on the vehicle. I tow an 1850 Reata (probably close to 4000 lbs) with a Dodge Dakota (rated 6100 lbs) and have no problem. I also tow it with my wife's Traverse (rated 5200 lbs, with tow pkg) and it works just as well. It really depends on the vehicle. Also, you're vehicle may be rated to 6600 lbs with the tow package, but without it, it may only be rated to 2000 lbs or so. So if you're looking at a new vehicle, make sure it has the tow package, which is more than just a hitch under the bumper. |

| Not related to the question at hand, but does anyone have an idea what a Tuffy 1760 Tiller with 75HP would weigh loaded? |

| Thanks for all the helpful replies. I'm looking at an Audi Q7 w/ tow package.
Thanks again.
Steve, when you say fully loaded, I assume you mean full gas, ect.. |

Location: Maple Grove | I have a 2000 681vs with a 135 Opti and my rough calcs put it somewhere between 2500 and 3000. I tow it with a V6 Explorer no problem although I would prefer something bigger.
