There is going to be a meeting at 7pm on Feb 28th at Jerry's Bar and Grill in Alexandria, Mn to determine the future of the Vikingland Muskies Inc Chapter. Over the years this chapter has worked very closely with the MN Dnr for continued stocking programs in the Alexandria Area and to be honest with you, we would not have the current stocking program on Lake Miltona it wasnt for the hard work of Vikingland members fighting that battle.
We are going to need some new Members to join and existing members to become more active to keep this Chapter Afloat.

| Mr. Williamson, what can those of us who aren't from that area do to help? I personally don't really fish over there, but we obviously need all the good water we can get to disperse the pressure. It would be a shame to lose any chapters right now, especially one whose waters are doing so well. If I'm not mistaken this is also an area where "no more muskies" type groups are somewhat vocal! I'm always surprised at how many musky anglers I speak to who aren't members of Muskies Inc. This is a resource that requires manpower and $ to perpetuate! I hope everyone who is serious about musky fishing, especially those who profit from it, considers joining! Does your chapter have a website? Are you guys going to be at the MN Expo? |

Location: Alexandria, Minnesota | Hey Ben, I think that is the problem now days. There are some many guys getting into the sport that are not educated about Muskies Inc . They don't realize that they are reaping the benefits from all of the hard work that Muskies Inc members put into helping make these great fisheries what they are today.
My biggest fear is that the No More Muskies thing will just get fired up again if this chapter has to fold. That is why we are going to need some of the younger Muskie Fishermen in the area steo up to plate and take the resposiblity of insuring the future of this Chapter. Money is not the issue, We just need some people that are willing to take over leadership roles. I for one am willing but we are going to need some more help.
