Received a survey today in the mail from the Wisconsin DNR. It was regarding the management of musky fisheries in Wisconsin. Anyone else get one of these? Had some interesting questions like would you support a musky stamp system and how much would you pay for a stamp. Would you support a mandatory reporting system for the harvest of a musky. Questions on size limits. You have the option of completing the survey on line, by phone or have a survey sent to you. Looks like a good way to let them know what we think! If you use the website you need a code that comes with the survey but you can also call Kristin Floress at (715) 346-4135

i got mine and completed it; for all the time, I was hoping for a small section for notes @ the end for your thoughts. I also
hoped for the question about what type of musky would you like to stocked.

That sounds like a great idea! I would vote for a musky stamp and phone in system for any musky that I kept.

I think they were sent out at random but you might try the phone number I posted and see if you can do the survey over the phone.

I didn't get one either. I would think it must be somewhat related to people that have purchased fishing licenses? I hope I get one. Hopefully the survey will lead to positive things!

I got a response from the WDNR's Tim Simonson. He tells me

"If you filled out the survey with an ID that was issued to another person (e.g., Ci6765), it will most likely be deleted. SO - you should fill out the survey using the ID you were issued in a letter specifically to YOU from US (not an email from MI or a link on a message board/web page). "

Si if you don't have a code number, you should be able to sign in and then complete the survey.
