hey, looking to buy a new reel for casting bigger baits in the fall. bull dawgs and #10 blades.

looking at the revo toro winch.

what is your opinion on that reel and what else would be better? dont want to spend any more than what the winch is worth!

I use a Daiwa Luna 300 to throw dawgs. Nice reel & costs less than the winch.

I don't like the winch for dawgs. They line pick up is to slow. On the the other hand the winch is awesome for dbl 10's. If you are looking for a reel to do both and you throw dawgs way more than you throw 10's get a regular revo toro. It's way more versatile.

Exactly what Welldriller said above ^^ The Winch is an awesome double ten reel but doesn't have the line pick up needed for reeling in dawgs. My suggestion would be to buy a used Winch for double tens and then with the money you saved, buy a used Abu 6000 as it will have the higher gear ratio needed to reel in dawgs.
