| I know Crestliner came out with a Muskie Edition boat.
Can someone lead me to this boat and specs? I checked the Crestliner site and cannot find anything.
Can you believe I bough a new Crestliner this past winter and want to upgrade already! I bought the 1600 Angler which is a great baot, but I am looking for more storage space that is lockable, a bigger boat to handle rougher waters.
Would this boat be ideal for Mille Lacs without no worry? My wife has given me the thumbs up if ONLY it will handle rough water without her worrying about my son.

| Go glass. My fillings are still loose from the last ride I had in a Crestliner and I think it took me a couple days to dry out! |

It could not have been that bad! Must have been the driver....
Ok - you get a little in some Crestliners, but that all depends on the driver, the speed, the waves, etc..
My friends who always swore by Lunds, will now get a Crestliner. ZOne of my buddies will by one this winter.
anyway, as for glass - what would you recommnend?
I need the boat to handle lakes like Mille Lacs as we occasionally chase the eyes in some deep water.

I purchased an 1850 Fishhawk Muskie Edition this Spring.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is 18ft 3 inches w/ a 95 1/2 inch beam. Very stable boat. Laid out great for Muskies or anything else. It is rated for 150 hp, I put a 115 Yamaha 4-stroke on mine. People said, "don't do it, it will be underpowered!". They were wrong. People said, "You will get wet from the rough ride!" They were wrong. I have had mine on some big water, (Leech, Mille Lacs) in wind, and had no need for a rain suit. Alot of it depends on who's driving.
I owned two Lunds before going to the Crestliner. Both Lunds were great boats, but so is the Crestliner. I chose the Muskie Edition because it is laid out so much better than anything else that I looked at. The 1850 has a 31 gallon gas tank that is located in the center of the boat under the floor, as compared to the 1750 which has the tank in the rear near the transom. I think it makes a difference in the handling. A friend of mine has a 1750 and he couldn't believe how mine handled compared to his.
So far, I can say that I would buy another Crestliner in a heartbeat. Just wish I had more time on the water to enjoy it. Just find what best fits your needs, and it will be the perfect Muskie boat, that's what I did.

I have the 1850 non muskie edition... Same boat few things less... It all depends on the driver. I'm on Mille Lacs & Cass and have only had problems when trying to go too fast in big water. The same problems happened when I've jumped in glass boats they just went a little faster in the rough stuff. In my opinion the Crestliner 1850 is the best Muskie Boat you could buy $ for $. Mine is for sale and when it's sold I'm going to buy the exact same thing.

Look in the Classifieds. The Thick One's boat is listed. Best thing about his boat is the mood lighting under the gunnels!
I looked at the Muskie Edition very seriously at the shows this spring. The only thing I liked about it over the standard 1850, was the "Muskie Edition" stickers on the side. It is basically the same boat as Shady's, except it has the second console, and they put a hanging bait box where the batteries were. Now you have to put the batteries in the front deck storage, which takes away from the storage space. They also put some tubes in the port side rod locker. All that for about $1500.00 more.
I've ridden in Steve's boat, and GregM had one just like it. I'm sure he would be willing to give you his $.02 worth. For what it's worth, the driver has a lot to do with how a boat rides.

| This saturday we are picking up my dad's 1850 non musky edition. I prefer the non-musky edition better. The extra counsole loses space and storage. Both are nice but I prefer the regular one. |

| Where can I obtain a comparison spec sheet bewteen the 1850 and the Muskie Edition?
Sounds like there are some differences between the 2 and that the Muskie edition costs a bit more for its sticker! LOL..
Any help is appreciated so I can do a side by side comparison!

There was a .pdf file on the Crestliner site, in the News section. I may have it. I also gave a report on this site after the Milwaukee Sport Show. I crawled all over the boat, and compared it side-by-side with the "Standard" model. I'll try to locate the post.
Found the post. Look for "Crestliner Mid-Year Addition", By me, on 3/9/02.

| I know this is an old thread. The difference between the musky and regular edition is now a recirculating livewell, a butt seat and the musky graphics. I bought & installed a new base with butt seat, installed a recirculating livewell for about 1000 less than the dealer wanted. Anyone know where to find some musky graphics/stickers for the side of the boat? |
