Is a fish caught on a 4.5 acre private lake in Wisconsin eligible to be a state record? The lake is considered navigable and is not manmade. Just a little conversation i had amongst the boys over dinner this evening. Obviously i couldn't answer the question.

Thanks

I thought a record has to come from public water.

If by navigable, you mean you can get a boat to it via stream, then the lake would be public, the shoreline private.

In the past Illinois had a state record hybrid musky taken from Lake Summerset which is a "private" lake.
