The MN DNR has come out with a Lake Finder app for the Droid. It has the survey, a weak map, fish consumption, and water levels available. Pretty cool for a fee app.

Just go into the app finder and type in "lake finder" and you will see it.

probably your obscenity filter because all the lakes in Minnesota are listed as lake X.

There is also a free muskie weight calculator app. Gives weight using all 4 formulas, along with an average of the 4. Aptly entitled "muskie weight calculator".

I downloaded the Navionics North Region on my Droid, works pretty cool actually, but does force other apps to close and closes unexpectedly from time to time. $13.00 in the market.

I've got one called Moonphase that does the same thing, makes it real convenient to check rise and set etc. on the fly. Use it all the time during the fishing season.

I purchased the Navionics App for my phone (LG Optimus on Sprint, $14) and have been totally impressed with the app so far. I have had no problems with the operation of the app other than it kills the battery. It certainly makes ice fishing and finding the off shore structure a breeze. Only draw back is the phones gps doesn't update overly fast but what a Great App! for you guys that have an android 2.2 phone i would definitely recommend this app. It took my phone roughly 5 hrs to download the app so make sure you have room on your micro sd and time. I picked the app up for when i am in a boat with out gps cabable electronics... reads out speed, can set way points, track routes, creat routes, pretty amazing that its all on my phone for $14. One thing though, for you guys who may utilize this app, make sure you check the settings as the "user generated content" can be shared.

I was making no progress downloading Navionics North in 3G mode, it said it was going to take 8 hours. It took me seven minutes to download it on my WIFI network at home.

Is there a app that calculates moon overhead and underfoot for your location?

Bluefin weather app is good for the great lakes, earth nc also has great lake nautical charts with ability to save way points. these are all free and upgadeable for nominal cost. Navionics is still hard to beat, I have east and north.
