They don't.
Pete Maina is too busy fishing with his ol' buddy John Gillespie to care. I haven't had a chance to use my new TI rod yet but it looks awesome. I got an XXH and I expect it to be pretty stiff yet for figure 8s with 12s and 13s. Sounds like the XH may be a better option for an all around rod.
J/k really on the Maina rods, I have no idea. I have not heard anything on them good or bad. With the low price of the TI and all the good feedback I heard I figured I couldn't go wrong.
I just laugh though on sat mornings, he seems to be fishing with Gillespie every week.

The maina 8'6" one piece is one heckuva rod for the price. Probably my favorite right now...but I will be trying a TI 8'6" for the first time this year so we'll see. If you can get the maina on sale for $70 like I did it's a steal! Got another for $55 but that was years ago...

TI rod is HEAD AND SHOULDERS above the Maina rod. All I have heard is good things about the rod, and customer service from TI is second to none. I finally got a chance to see one a few weeks ago at the Chicago Show and THEY ARE SWEET!

My camo skinned rods come only in the 8'6"/9' removable handle rods. Would love to do an entire selection of rods in colors but who has a 10,000 sq ft warehouse Love to match every color of Ranger boats though.

I have the MH telescopic split grip from last fall and it has to be my best rod. Rated up to 6oz but I was throwing 8oz SuperDs with it all fall and no issues. Great rod and loads up perfectly. $110 delivered was a no brainer to try it for me.

I recently purchased a XH 9' telescoping TI rod and the thing looks and feels great. Like mentioned above, the $110 to you door price is a no-brainer!
