Location: Hayward, WI | Not too bad up here near Hayward, WI. I think we have highs in the teens the next few days, and it doesn't sound like TOO much snow predicted. I hope we don't get a lot - a lot more will make driving around the lakes tough.

Location: Eastern Ontario | Hi All
I just got off the phone with a friend living in northern North Dakota near the Canadian border.
He said that since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still falling.
The temperature is dropping way below zero and the north wind is increasing to near gale force.
His wife has done nothing but look through the kitchen window and just stare.
He says that if it gets much worse, he may have to let her in.

| how many of you guys used to "Bump" during winter has a kid
bump or bumping would be hide at an intersection with a stop sign then jump out behind car hold on to the rear bumper and get towed/water ski;d or sometimes drug down the street.
or post a lookout a block away and wait for the alarm call 'its a lady' then rush the car from the front because women will NEVER hurt boys and always stop at which point we would cling to the sides and back of the car like woodticks on a moose and try for bragging rights of longest ride
of course MPLS police would eventually come but it didnt matter if you brought a S.W.A.T. team you will NEVER catch a kid in his own hood,,
Im glad XBOX wasnt invented during my childhood |

| Skeechin!! Heheh. I remember a day back in 87 up at NIU - blizzard closed down the town. Since my car was the only one we were able to get out of the larking lot I was the DD. I could fit three guys on the back bumper of my old 1979 Buick. Spent the afternoon skeeching up and down Lincoln Highway. Nobody out but us and the plows... Good times. |

HAHAHA!!!
We are forcasted to get 12-18" of snow with 40mph winds, translating into up to 10' tall snow drifts. Yay..... At least I have a 2nd job plowing so I can make some extra "fun money". |

Location: Not far enough north! | Just East of St Louis here and we have kind of lucked out. They were calling for an inch of freezing rain and we only got about a quarter inch of that lastnight and it has been sleeting all day. We have an inch of sleet and the roads are pretty snotty but at least it is not sticking to the trees and power lines anymore so when the wind hits hopefully not too much damage will happen. They keep saying it is going to switch to snow but its still sleeting.
Took my niece and nephew around the block a couple times in a sled and you know what I like pulling a sled in sleet easy walking and it glides like a dream:)
The cows were not too happy this morning though with all the ice. When I tried to get them out of the barn to feed them they really just looked at me like are you kidding? Just leave us be well skip the corn today...

Location: Brookfield, WI | Yep. We called it Skitchin'. Many years ago I was flying along behind a car in downtown Lacrosse. The car slowed, I let go and rolled off. Stopped at the feet of a beat cop. Cost me $60.00 for disorderly conduct. The police report described it as "College hijinks". LOL.

Brutal! Al gore said recently that the global warming is causing the colder weather, too. But in 2002 they said that the global warming was the reason that there was less snow that winter?? Hmmm...yeah, that's the ticket! |
