Just picked up a couple big muskie baits recently, and was wondering if you could help me with a few questions I have with them.

The first is the 10"Hellhound. What type of rod would be best to throw that, and if you would know, how fast will it drop?

The second is a 10" Believer. Attached on the "deep" setting, how deep will this bait troll?

Thanks

I'll be throwing the hellhound on a 7'9" st croix jerkbait rod ,and i'm expecting the lure to sink a lot faster than the smaller one. It is 11oz.

As for the believer, no idea on depth, but I'm pretty sure that's a 13".

Good luck.

The 10" Believer works good for casting on the shallow line tie (wide wobble). Muskies like to T-bone them if you can get them to kick out after a rip. I like covering the flats and just over the weedline with them , quickly covering water
with a couple twiches and short rips during each retrieve. Not sure how deep they go trolling on the deep setting. Maybe 2-3' casting on shallow tie.
