That fish was slightly over 40 pounds and heavy enough to beat the current Illinois state musky record of 38 pounds 8 ounce, BUT it wasn't the minimum length limit of 48 inches. She was just under 48"

Yep, we released her ... I can't even begin to tell you how tough it was to hold up a fish like that and not look like a sissy !!!! |
