Location: Appleton | I just got myself 6 more the other day from Roger. I've fished with them for the past few seasons with good success. I mainly like how many different situations you can use the one bait. If you run the tail up it works shallow, tail down it works deeper. If you want even more depth just add weight to the screw inserts on the bait. Color combos are easy to change with the way the tail just screws on. Never had any issue with the construction of the baits either. Fun bait to play around with. Customer service from Roger is top notch 2. |

Location: central illinois | I bought one late last year. It was responsible for most of my late fall fish last year. I'd say 8 out of the last 10 fish for the year. I can't wait until next year so I can use it all year long! When I go to the Chicago show, I will be purchasing at least two more. They hold up well I just have hook marks all over mine. It has a really thick coat of epoxy to it, they should last a long time. Except for the tail, you will need a couple extra. |

Location: Freedom, WI | This year I will be at Chicago and the new Michigan show and Musky Magic. Milwaukee is a week after Michigan and not sure if I can get enough stuff done in time to do both, sleep is optional right. I have been known to roam around the Milwaukee show and go for Mama Mias pizza and garlic bread after though, my arteries are closing up in anticipation. |

Location: Freedom, WI | I have about 150 of them between 3 (mostly large ones)sizes. Website says 2 sizes but I made a couple of dozen small ones for the show (had some there last year). I will also paint one for you if I do not have what you want, I am sure I will be painting and building again the day after I get back. |

Location: Hayward, WI | I'd have to say I like everything about Hardheads, and haven't found anything I don't like!
You can do just about anything with them. They fish from just under the surface to as deep as you want. Early in the season when the fish are in shallow weeds, rigging one with just a little weight and the tail up and hopping it over and along weeds is money! Tail up gives the bait an awesome wobble on the pull and the pause. Later on as the water warms, turning the tail down with big weights front and back will get them deep and trigger strikes ripping them.
There have been several days when I couln't get fish going on standard rubber, but caught them on Hardheads. I don't even work for Roger (but I figure if I say enough nice things about his baits in public he'll give me one free someday...just kidding ). They hold up very well too. It's really surprising how many fish that tail can take before needing to be replaced. And when it finally is shot, it's only a couple bucks for a new one.
I would get at least one. You'll like it.

| This was my first year using them, but I very much like them. I started with one that a friend gave me, and that grew to 2, then to 4.......
Great bait, great guy. Fish seem to love them, so that ties the whole deal off in a neat little bow.
One thing I found is that you don't get many follows. Fish generally pound this bait, there is no question whether you had a strike or not. They absolutely kill it. And the good news is that if a fish pounds it head first or if you cast it for an entire year, the head holds together, unlike some other all-rubbers. If the tail gets zipped, screw a new one on for a couple bux.
As said, customer service is top notch, paint schemes are many, and the color combos are near endless when you start mixing and matching tails.

Location: Hayward, WI | Muskie-addict is right. You usually just get smoked with these baits, not many follows. That tends to happen with me and rubber baits also, BUT what is nice about the Hardhead is the hooking percentage. If a Hardhead gets hit the fish usually ends up in the net. My hooking percentage with rubber isn't horrible, but I have had stretches where several fish were lost. Not usually the case with the HH's.

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | I don't have one bad thing to say about them. This bait is definitely more than just hype. If it was just hype you would still find me using mag dawgs which I haven't used in over three years now.
I hate to do this, but I am going the easy route this time.
Checkout this thread, and look for my name. Near the bottom.

Also hear an explanation on how I work them:

You can do searches on various sites for the hardhead and get more info as well.

I do want to say that I have been communicating with Roger recently and he has been great about getting back to me with thorough answers. Roger does great work and has excellent service. If you try his products you won't be disappointed.

| Roger - maybe you can hook me up with a show type special on a custom color! I'll pick up a weighting kit also Seriously though I'm looking to get one for the 2011 season. Maybe I'll have to come up with a custom color to order. I do like a couple of your standard colors though, we'll see. How long would it take to get a custom color?

| Love these baits!!! They made my season last year. The key for me has been the fall. they almost always hit it on the drop(for me). I think a lot of it has to do with the head wobble that it has, Unlike a dawg. I made it threw the whole season with out replacing the tail cause they head hunt it so much. witch makes for good hook ups. With the right set up you can get this bait to walk almost like a glider. the only think i'd like to see is a bigger one:) How about it roger? Like he doesn't have enough to do as it is. hahaha. Is this bait worth $30? uumm YA!!! you might want to bring $60 cause once you us it your going to buy another one.

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | Just a clarification on the pic. That is the new Buckethead on the top, and the large hardhead on the bottom. The tail on that Buckethead is just a proto, and the final tail will be different than that pictured. I believe it will be a bit longer, and the body a little bit "better" than mine. |

Location: Northern Wisconsin | I just wanted to comment on how awesome the hardhead looks. Yesterday I tested mine out in my pool and was literally there for half an hour just adjusting the weight inserts and tail to see all the different ways this lure will run. It is amazing to have all those options in one lure. I really think this lure will have more time than anything else this year! |
