Is anyone interested in starting a fly swap? I have time this winter for tying and would be interested in seeing what others are fishing.

I would be. I am still a relative rookie when it comes to tying "quality" flies, but last year worked at it pretty hard and came a long way. I wonder if we could get a fly fishing thread or forum, or whatever they are called here as fly fishing for the toothy dudes seems to be more and more popular.

I think it should be called the khaki pants and salmon colored Columbia shirt wearers forum.

Hahahahahahaha. Don't you have a snow board to be waxing, or heavy Wisco women to be dreaming of?

I think snowboarding would kill me. No one should ever have to dream about Wisconsin women!

I fish toothy critters with a fly rod and I'd be interested in a fly swap.

And while I'm posting, I'll fix Pointer's comment on fly fishing apparel -
"I think it should be called the khaki pants and salmon colored Columbia shirt wearers Western trout anglers forum."

The midwestern fly rodders wear the same get up. It's like a right of passage or something. The really good ones have those super long billed caps too.

If you are interested in the fly swap, send me an email at:

I will set it up when we have at least four people.
