Ranger 617 owners, Just Encase is currently in production and is adding this Ranger model to the list of Ranger models it now builds Casting Deck Boxes for in addition to the 195VX, 618, 619, 620, and 621. This Deck Box is manufactured to replace the back Ranger Casting Deck.

Also, if anyone in the Twin Cities Metro Area has a Ranger R93 (and has access to their boat) and is interested in a front deck box for this model (similar to the box for the Ranger 195VX in photo attached please contact me. I have a R93 Customer in N. Wisconsin that is 4 hours away who wants a Front Deck Box. I need to secure measurements and do a fitting prior to manufacturing. Thanks, Bob Schmitt [email protected]

Correction - I am looking for a R83, not a R93 to measure. [email protected]

As a matter of fact the 617 box that is in production is for my boat, and I know it has been said before on this site, but Bob has been a great guy to work with and his product is top-notch. Incredible customer service and attention to detail, I can't recommend Justencase enough!

Kinda depends on how much the guy weighs using the butt seat.

J_Mich - No butt seat (pedestal hole) consideration for the two 617 boxes currently in production. The two Customers didn't require it. Bob Schmitt

I have a 2000 R93 and live in Elk River, MN. I did read you need an R83 but just in case.

dhacker - thanks for the response regarding your R93. At this time, I am unfamiliar with the differences between the R93 and the R83 model for measurement/fitting purposes.

Bob, I have a Ranger R83 in my garage. PM me with the dimensions that you need and I'll get them to you tonight. I do have the ranger deck extension if you are trying to match exactly.

Don - I would have to do the same thing as I need to do for the R83 - i.e. take measurements and do a fitting prior to manufacturing. Do you currently have access to your R93 for measuring? Thanks, Bob Schmitt [email protected]

Thanks BT! Also, I meant this when I wrote it, and now that the finished product is sitting in my boat, I really mean it!

This would be slick for my 2003 617. I tried doing something on my own for all of my dawgs that actually slid under the casting deck attachment that comes with the boat...did the trick for awhile, but my make-shift plexy box cracked on me. In other words, it was a feeble attempt at storage on my part. But what you got going looks pretty dang good. What are you charging for this?

Hi Bob. I took the measurements on my R93. This is tight numbers at the floor. Please note that it is slightly wider on the top then on the bottom.

23" front
24 1/4" rear
19 3/4" length

I did email you directly before but did not hear back so figure it best to respond on this post.

Let me know if you need anything else or pricing.

Thanks.

The specs for the Ranger 681 Back are different than the 617VS Back. Built a Back Deck Box for the 681 last year. I have requested pictures from the Customer with no response yet. Tricky bottom that is concave/bows in the middle.

Good day Bob. I saw the YouTube of Jason Hammernick's box you built for him; wow - incredible. Any ideas on cost for the R93? I am buying a Z520 next year but this box would be a great addition to my current boat for my use and then when I sell it this fall.

Thanks.

Don

Thanks for the feedback on Jason's Deck Box. We (Jason and I) will have his Deck Box for sale at the Minn Musky Expo. Not sure if it will be at his booth or mine yet. Jason bought a different Ranger and I will be building him a new Deck Box and inside storage set-ups for him in the upcoming weeks. I haven't built for the R93 yet so I need to get the dimensions in order to create an estimate. Not sure if the dimensions of the R93 similar to the R83 or a 618VS.
FYI - Today I finished the manufacturing of 3 - 618VS Front Deck Boxes with one already sold to a Customer in Iowa.
Let me know if you are able to get me the R93 dimensions --- if you have access to your R93. Bob Schmitt [email protected] 888 401-8909

Don - I need the total height dimension to be flush with the top as well in addition to length and width.
Thanks, Bob
