Location: Wisconsin | It isn't based on the department, it is based on product type. Some of the private label clothing and Cabelas brand merch is higher discount than guns let's say. The discount was 20% but it has changed for employees and is now based on years of service, I think for these type of sales they are going with the old discount.... General rule is 20%, but it will be lower on guns, electronics, etc....Many times the sales on locators are better than the discount, for example. |

Location: Grand Forks ND | It's 10 to 30 percent off depending on the item as others have said. You can bring the item to a register or the sales people can look it up on the computer. I got 10% off a Terrova iPilot using the employee discount. |

Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hi everyone,
Well, I went down yesterday and bought various items, and this is what I found
Fishing line (I bough TUF XP) 20% discount
DCGs: 15% discount
Cabelas brand swivels: 20% discount
360ht rod holder: 20% discount
minn kota barometer: 5% discount
So...not too bad.
Would have maybe been better to hold off until I got one of those $30 off $100 sales, but I'm not complaining....

| I use a Cabela's credit card (Mastercard really) to buy all monthly gas and meds and pay it off every monthend. If all goes well, I get about $150 - $200 each year in store credit for what I spend with the card, no interest. The thin ice of the deal is the big discounts they offer on large purchases if you prove to be a good credit risk. |
