As a relative newcomer to musky fishing, I find I'm quickly accumulating a lot of swimbaits. They seem to take up a lot of room in the Lakewood. Does anyone have an innovative way to store these guys? Thanks for any suggestions.

I use the big open 3700 Plano boxes. Only thing you really need to watch is do NOT store regular rubber swimbaits with ANYTHING made form Formula X. Easy way to know is just pull on the tail of the lure(s) and if they are super stretchy that is Formula X. Old Shack Attack and LifeLike lures use the Formula X. You might also think about Plano boxes for similar colors in case they bleed into each other. I like to keep all of my cream/white in separate Plano boxes and then orange, yellow, reds, blacks, etc in separate boxes.

I just didn't like to keep them in there. Maybe the "monster" lakewood has bigger spaces , but the "medium" that I have just didn't work good. When you pull one out , three come with it. Pounders won't fit. I went to the old 5-gallon bucket.I bet I can fit around thirty in there. It does kind of suck to take up the space with the bucket though. I need to take less lures on the boat. Or get a bigger boat. LOL

Just a quick FYI --- Just Encase has a number of options to fit swimbaits with slots larger than the standard Lakewoods so that you can maximize the use of the inside space and eliminate pulling of multiples. For instance, the 4"x4" slots work great for hold multiples in 1 divider section. If you prefer a custom divider set-up it is easy to accomodate - see photo.
