My fill in the blank came today as we celebrated early.

My wife got me a copy of "Musky Fishing" by Bert Claflin, 1st edition. Great reading, and have read it before, but finally have my own personal copy. Forgot how enjoyable this book is. Was going to mention it as a potential Christmas Gift,
but selfishly waited until I had my own personal copy in hand. This has a 1948 copywrite, so gives an interesting view on gear, lure choice, method and common
musky myths of the day. The guy definitely caught some fish, but what would have really been interesting, he was keeping a diary of a lot of fishing back in the day. I would love to read the diary.

My son got me a Winchester, limited edition, 200th commemorative knife set, which unfortunately, knowing how I tend to use knives, I am afraid to take out of the package! And my daughter replaced my grey hoodie, which was gettting kind of threadbare. And then I got myself this....

The girlfriend knocked it out of the park this year and presented me with a custom made Thorne Brothers XXH Predator with a split handle. This was the only Predator missing from my aresenal and its looks great. She worked with Lonnie at the shop to get made simialr to my other rods. It looks aweome!

I got ......to watch my kids scurry around the house on a scavenger hunt during which they learned we are going to Disney for spring beak. My 12y/o daughter was too cool to act excited but I know she was cause she went straight to facebook and posted it with 20 exclamation marks...fun.

I got (or rather bought for myself, earlier today) a new Revo Toro 61 HS spooled with 65lb Power Pro. I also plan to buy myself for Christmas (probably in a few days or so) a new rod for throwin' dawgs. Still have a few more days of opening presents so I might be able to add to this.

My girlfriend got me a pair of camo slippers, (she got tired of me wearing my boots around the house, LOL) a couple new feeders for the yard, a Musky Hunter T-Shirt, a really cool pistol case, a belt-pack ammo case, Season IV of the Musky Hunter show, a Musky hunter calendar, some cool kitchen utensils, "Great Migrations" National Geographic documentary, Bill Dance Bloopers, (DAD-GUMMIT!) and a bunch of my favorite sweet treats. Her parents got me a gift card from Bass Pro Shops, a selection of martini olives and a giant bottle of Hendricks Gin. Everything was wrapped in camo paper that matches my bibs and parka. Oh, and I got those three little words that every guy longs to hear:

"Let's go fishin'!"

Along with some other phrases that made me think I ought to keep her:

"I miss Canada!"
"We need a muskie boat"
"I need more musky lures"

Yessir, that rifle is a point and shoot 500 yard weapon as I have it set up. It's a Winchester Featherweight, and has been my go-to rifle for many years now.

For Christmas, OFM got a Canon T2i, wireless microphones, a shotgun mic, battery grip, and shoulder mount. Serious video machine in SLR clothing...our interviews will be much more interesting in 2011.

I got a Wide Glide, Whopper Plopper, bunch of Ranger gear, new life vest, tool set for the boat. However, the best gift I got was my wife giving birth on Dec. 22nd to a beautiful little girl. We are blessed with a healthy new baby and were able to get out of the hospital on Christmas Eve to enjoy Christmas at home. No Muskie gear in the world could have topped a new baby. This Christmas can't get any better!!!

lowrance hds 7 whooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!<br />My dad really got me good this year. On sat morning I opened a package to find a set of "gheeto" speakers the box looked like it was droped more than once. My dad said "yeah jeff said u blew a speaker in your truck so I figured u could use those." I said really I haven't noticed, confused I opened the torn up box n pulled out a speaker n said sweet me n jeff will put them in later n slide the box back under the tree. I proceeded to put on Go Fish, we always watch fishing n snowboarding movies on Xmas, were sitting there watching fish eat topwaters talkin about past trips to Canada and wat not when I say yeah could u imagine haveing decent electronics on some of those remote lakes we've been to? I could tell my dads acting weird but I thought he was just peeed my buddy told him to buy me speakers that I didn't need. About 5 min go by and he says let me see those speakers. I grab the box n pull out a speaker when I notice newspaper between the two speakers n I say did u buy these new? My dad starts smileing n trying not to laugh n now I no somethings up. I pull the other speaker out of the box it's wrapped n newspaper and I realize wat it is, the graph!!!! He really got me this year I didn't see that comeing one bit. When your younger u hype on things u want for Xmas so u almost expect to get them. As u get older Xmas isn't wat it used to be until u have kids of your own so I hear, but this year was the most supprised I've ever been on Xmas. On top of hat
