I am looking for some advice on a good lake to go to in mid June that would be a good family vacation with the possibility of musky. I have been vacationing in Indiana, but the water temps have been in the lower 80s by mid June. I would like to find something in the upper lower or the eastern upper.

Any input would be greatly appreciated,

Mark

Sault Ste Marie would be a good choice and is sorta in the area you described. Very good muskie fishing once you know where to go, and lots of other fish, too.

very few cottages for rent and only one that will take pets. the one that takes dogs is on stilts, kinda of hard for a dog to do their thing and no where for the kids.

All good points. I vote you get passports for the crew and take them to Lake X a crossed the boarder.

I have a home in Vilas County WI that is on the water and within 5 miles of half a dozen prime Muksie waters. We rent it out if you are interested?

Maybe try Pigeon lake in Canada and I found a very family friendly place and it has a lot of family activities. Your brother knows it well.

TTurn wish I could get to Vilas county in less than 12 hours had a lot of fun fishing Vieux Desert years ago. I would love to return to Pigeon..lots and lots and lots of fish. Passports for the entire family would probably cost as much as a cottage. I am trying to keep the trip to 6 hours or less from Toledo for the family.
