So I've got a 200 evie and it started doing this weird deal last few times out....

In idle at Neutral...fine....put into idle speed forward and every 6-10 seconds the motor goes...THUMP...idle up to 10K rpms and it's smooth....run faster it's fine...back to idle speed forward.....THUMP.........THUMP......back to Neutral....fine....

I thought maybe the prop was loose so checked it after pull out and I can pull the prop backwards just a tad on the shaft...I'm going to re-tork the prop nut before going out again, but I doubt that's it.

Thoughts?

Thanks, Steve, I'll pull the prop and check the grooves.

Possibly a sensor malfunction feeding bad info to the computer. Take it to a dealer and have them read the error codes and see if something shows up.
