| Don't know the man. But from what I've heard? Well, I don't know what he'll catch, but I'd bet he will be out fishing long after most guys have their boats put away for the season. |

I also heard he rows against the current and the wind all day long and eats a dozen eggs with a huge stack of pancakes and a steak for breakfast and a whole deer he kills with his bare hands each day for supper. |

Tom Gelb doesn't sleep. He rows.
When Tom Gelb rows, the boat doesn't move forward. The lake moves back.

But welldriller, wasn't it also comforting to know that if you encountered trouble on the water that day, he would be there to save your candy ___?

He absolutely deserves all he catches. He was catching muskies long before most of us were twinkles in our parents eyes.....and with equipement that was stoneage technology compared to that available to all of us today.
He is a treasure in the muskie world. |

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Back in Oct 2008 (MF Presque Isle Outing) I was out on Presque Isle lake & saw a row troller out in the middle - nasty day. Thought I'd cruise out & see what he was fishing over, and found a bunch of deep water humps w/ fish around them. Took a couple of snapshots w/ my Humminbird 997SI. Didn't really pay any attention till I got home & down loaded them. Then I noticed this strange image. The white streaks/spots in the left side SI image are some pretty good sized fish - muskies or really big walleyes.
But then I zoomed in on the down scan image-> the strange triangle & here's what I saw.
Have fun!
