Hi!
My name is Gustav and im a Pike crazy guy from Sweden!

Ive been looking at this forum for a while and finally made an account.
I am 16 years old and live north of Karlstad (My parents live in Stockholm), i usually fish for Pike but i will fish pretty much anything if i get the chance. The bigget pike i have caught to date was a 10lb 36'' fish that i caught pro spawn this year (on a Buster Jerk jerkbait).

I have been interested in Muskie fishing since i heard there was a Pike type fish that grew to bigger size that lived in America. Since i heard of Muskies i have wanted to go fishing for them and im currently saving up money to go too Canda and USA to try to catch a 50 incher!

Im currently studying sportfishing at The Forshaga Sportfishing Academy in Forshaga, when i finish my three years here im probaby moving too Canada or USA (or maybe to some unfished waters in the north of Sweden).

See you on the forums (or waters in the future)!

Welcome to the site young Swede. Your country has produced some fine lady golfers. Some of the men are okay, too, but Annika Sorenstam is one of the finest women golfers, indeed, one of the finest golfers period, of all time. I'm not sure if she is a pike fisherwoman, but like you hope to, she moved to the United States. She did not move to Canada as there are few golfers in Canada due to the influence of the French. The French find the game too difficult.

Well, aren't you an ambitious young man. If you want the best fishing for muskellunge and pike on your immigration venture, aim at the Canadian province of Ontario. If you read the boards you can figure it out. Lots of pike in other provinces, but short on muskies. Good luck with your studies.
By the way, what are those Swedish blondes really like? We have lots of women, but we are short on Swedes in the Western PA.

MuskieSwede take it from an ol boy from the south USA, as stated oh so wrongly in a prior post you do not need to speak French nor does knowing the game of golf have anything to do with musky fishing in coming to Canada ...Ontario Canada is where your gonna find big muskies either by casting or trolling. You want consistant 48" to 50 plus inch muskies...then Welcome to Canada Eh! G'Luck with your studies and keep chasin the bigguns!
