Looks like it was caught trolling so I would guess he did reel it in. If he got that casting, that is one little dude I would not want to mess with. Very nice fish.

Awesome pic. Mille Lacs is back in a big way! There have been some giants coming out of there this season! Good to see a little fisherman like that hoisting up a fish bigger than himself. It looks like that musky ate the family dog!

It is 57"x27" and the little guy reeled it in. I've seen pics of the length and girth measurements.

The smile says it all in my book. Nice fish!

That is one of the nicest fish I've ever seen...congrats!!  It's going to be tough to beat that one.  Interesting that he's got a Just Big Muskies hat on...I wonder if that's who was guiding him that day?

Was wondering how long til this one was posted. Erik is no stranger to 50# class fish and this one is the biggest he has ever held. I have all the photos and this fish probably was a state record imho. Way to go David and Erik on another amazing catch!

Thanks again from David and me!

I wrote a story about the catch called "David's Goliath". It's at the bottom of our Just Big Muskies home page. You'll have to scroll down.

Not sure if it's O.K. to post the address.....but here it is.
