Im sure Thorne Bros sells suckers but anybody know how their selections are so far??? Are there other places that would sell large suckers??? Thinking about using suckers for tomorrow and/or Saturday...

Thanks...

Finding suitable size suckers this season has been a pain in the a$$ in the metro. You could try Vados as well. I have heard that getting large suckers the rest of the season is going to be almost impossible. If you do find the size your looking for I sugggest buying all of them and setting up a cooler with an aerator at your place of residence.

I would reccomend a sucker pattern pounder! No cooler or aerator required!

I called Vados last week and the biggest they had was 13". Not sure what they may have gotten in this week though.

i dont think u will be able to find any good sized ones.....and i know a few guys who have tried them recently and guys with lures did better than the guys with suckers....the word is all the WI bait stores are buying all of them and thats why there are no suckers ...... i think it has something to do with (i might be wrong) that in WI they cant produce or raise the suckers anymore ... something along that line i think

I thought WI couldn't get suckers because all of the guys in MN were buying them.

something along that line i think

there's no great mystery to it. water levels are extremely high due to the big rainstorms this fall. that's making it more difficult to capture suckers in many places.

We've been having trouble in N/WI because the rivers are too high. Difficult to net them, they're all beat up, and they're not surviving long enough to actually fish with them.

With sucker supplies dwindling, I wouldn't expect anybody to share where there getting there BIG suckers from. You couldn't pay me enough to tell you where i get mine, and I will have them all November.

a buddy was in Mercer when the sucker truck came yesterday and guys were lining up with coolers and buckets....another place down 51 only was allowing 4 per boat per day....Rollies had a good supply yesterday but they won't last long.....rationing suckers ..who would have thought! funny stuff...MN suppliers I heard were sending a lot to WI since we are use to paying 5 to 8 a piece and MN use to be in the 2-3 dollar range.....
stock up when you can .

If you are thinking about heading up to the Hayward Area, Pastika's got a nice size shipment of suckers in this week. Nice wild ones, up to 15-16 inches even. I know they were having problems getting them like everyone else, but their tanks were full when I was there.
