Location: Madison WI | Jay and I recently got back from MN fishing near the full moon for September with Jerry Sondag of Headshaker Guide Service. We got into town and a BIG cold front had just come through the area. The first day consisted of decent weather, 3 fish caught with biggest being 44" and raised another 5 or so. The second day the weather was brutal, big winds that made boat control futile, so we decided to fish in the only bay on the lake that was somewhat protected from the wind, great call by Jerry as Jay ended up with a 51.5" new PB and his first fish ever on topwater. The wind finally decided to calm down later in the afternoon and I managed to catch my biggest of the trip a 44". Last and final day was another decent day weather wise, I got the slime started within the first 15 minutes with a really pretty little 38" spotted, after that everything went crazy, I managed to raise 15+ fish by myself but couldn't get any of them to commit. The day was winding down and Jay managed to put another one in the boat about 10 minutes before we packed it in. All in all the trip was awesome, we had a cold front come through and still managed 8 fish between the 2 of us with another 30+ raised and a couple of them being 50+ inches and 30+ lbs. Jerry definitely was on his game as he knew where the fish were and what they wanted to eat or chase even with the shift in the weather. Jerry was great at teaching and answering questions, I definitely learned a lot and can't wait to go back next year!

Location: Pelican Rapids, MN | Hey guys, thanks for the kudos! We had a good time and a ton of action for otherwise crappy conditions. We definitely pulled out another great trip. That's the benefit of not being "hot bite chasers" We can get 'er done when it's looking tough!
You guys did a great job!
