Location: KY | Got out mid week last Wed, Thur, Fri morning. Raised a nice one Wednesday morning but nothing in the boat. Thursday I put four in the boat! 30,35,39&40. I picked up the 35 at noon trolling. The thirty came on a glider around 6PM. At sunset they went crazy. I missed a mid 40 in the eight after three big head shakes. I caught the forty about ten min later then missed two more. One of them, maybe 42, snapped at the bait three separate times in the eight. The 39 came just after dark. All the action came in a 45min window.

Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | So, Guys......It's been a cold winter so far, is there still ice on the lake ?
Been wondering..(dreaming)....Maybe a business trip will be in order for early , to mid-March.... With boat in tow , of course.
What's going on down there ?

| Hey man,
Nice pics. This Fall was the best I have ever seen it. Me and a buddy boated 14 muskies in one weekend and had two upper forties fish hooked and had a giant on the eight but didn't eat. All came casting. |

I was out on GRR today and it was colder than spit. I am thinking Cave will be just as cold. Temps in the center, 39-40.5, still ice on North facing shores in some places, still have the springs iced up. Colder than normal but fishable. No fish moving for me. Got a nice tan though. Cave is generally a little cooler than Green as season progresses to summer. Probably 4-7 days behind seasonally.
Warmest water I found was a large shallow bay 43-45 in late aft. but not much there for bait yet. Did see several scattered dying shad in the mid lake area, nothing unusual about that. I got up above the bridge into the other 25,000 acres and it was around 43 up there. |

Location: Medford, WI | Haha...wait Jerome...after thinking about this, I think I've got a plan. The first 3 or 4 days down there, you can go to work and I will scout for you. Then, when you're able to fish, I will guide you to all the muskies I've found free of charge! What a deal!
Ha...I'd love to go. If I can get some days in subbing, I'll definitely help foot the gas, food, etc. bill.
Keep in touch.
