I had a great time on Pewaukee in some real "Chamber of Commerce" kind of weather- Bluebird skies, calm, middle upper 70's, is this really October in Wisconsin?
Saturday I had taken out a husband and wife who had never muskie fished before. The got to see 7 muskies and they nearly needed "Depends"!
Sunday my awesome wife graced the front deck of my Esox Magnum in her bikini, I loved the view.
I saw 3 more muskies but like yesterday nothing opened its mouth.
A friend, Mike Koepp boated a 27" walleye on an 8" sucker in front of me for a client. It was a great day to be out, but it was tough sledding!
Someday, I look forward to post my pictures of a weekend of monster fish in the boat!

My buddy and I just got back from 5 days of big lure tossing on Eagle Lake,Ont. and yes the weather was beautiful but the fishing was ...well if it wasn't for the 38" skie I caught...you would have sworn it was the dead sea !!!! It was our first time up and we had a guide and we fished shallow ,deep and everything in-between. Aml boats were fishing in the same general area and I'll call Steve to see if we missed the boat (pun) or not. It is a fantastic looking lake and I will go back. Hopefully it was just the weather and not us !!!!

I wouldn't hang your head about a tough trip to Eagle....Quite a few people have had tough trips up there in '10, for whatever reason it seemed things were a little tougher this season

Was out Saturday morning in Madison and got a low 30s' pike and a mid 30s' spotted...both on a walleye dog. Couple nervous suckers as well but no takers.

Out saturday morning drifting a point dragging a sucker and casting when the clicker went off. Set the hooks into a nice 40" class fish, fought her all the way up to the boat then while I was getting my net out (fishing alone) she managed to roll and get off right at boatside. I slammed my rod tip into the water on the opposite side of the boat; sucker still attached to my rig with guts hanging, then the fish comes and swipes at it again. This time I did not get the hooks in her and she swam away slowly with my sucker t-boned. I had one good live sucker left so I went back out to 18' and tossed it out the back. Began my drift in again, ran back up front and cast 2-3 times before the clicker is going again. Set the hooks hard on this one and as soon as the fish surfaced I could see it was the same fish that had chowed my sucker ten minutes ago by the white mark on her side. This time the fight ended quickly and I had her in the bag. She had a good size bite mark in the middle of her belly from an obviously bigger fish. A nice 42" musky for my first sucker fish. It may have been the most exciting fish caught for me yet in my 3rd year hunting. That dumb fish was downright suicidal. She took about two minutes to revive due to the fact she had just been caught twice, but did swam away strong.

Thanks for reading. BTW I was using a homemade rig with a single 7/0 treble.

My wife Barb, Jake (our lab) and I went out Saturday to Twin Valley and Barb got her first ever musky. A nice 40 incher on a sucker and quick set rig. It was pretty slow for us otherwise but there were a couple fish getting caught on suckers throughout the day by other boats. A good day to be out even if the fish were slow because when fall really gets here, she won't want to be out. Thanks to Dick Estes and Wally Haas for coming over and taking a photo for us since Barb didn't want to hold the fish and I couldn't hold the fish and camera at the same time.

Fished Friday afternoon for 2.5 hours. Caught a 42, 41.5, and a 35 on suckers. Saturday morning, took the wife out for 3 hours and she caught her PB....a nice 43.5. We also boated a 41.5 and a 33. Sunday, went out for 3 hours and boated a 37 and 35. Would of had a couple more over 40 on gliders, but the anti-reverse went out on my Luna. More action than I expected in the 80 degree heat.

Took the wife & kids up to the cabin in Tomahawk for a long weekend. We got the one 37"er on a sucker. Fished 3 different lakes and all had an ALGE BLOOM bigtime.. Must be the warm weather, water temps in the 58 to 63deg range so I don't think its turnover...

Mike Koepp took me and a client out on Saturday on Pewaukee. Caught 4, missed 3 others. 34, 35,35,37 were the fish sizes. Great day on the water!

Have been taking the neighbor boy out this year for his first musky experiences. Sunday was his third time out and he caught his first musky, and what a musky it was. Fish was a very healthy 51 incher, and I had to hold it for the photo because he could not lift it....but you can see he was quite pleased. I think he might be hooked now.

Got my first taste of LSC on Saturday. Fished with Jason and Matt from Fins & Grins and picked this 45" up about an hour into the day. Ended up with 9 fish in the boat and lots of smiles.
