Does anyone know the approx. trolling depth of this bait, using 80# braid? It would be the 10 1/4" size 26 model.

Thanks,

Does anyone use these for casting? I thought they would make a great twitch bait?

The lure actually has some really nice action. Kind of a big rolling wobble like a Jake at slow speeds when casting. A buddy trolled it some this summer but I can't recall what depths he achieved with it. Not a bad lure at all but comes with kind cheap hooks and rings.

Not sure how deep they troll. They're a pretty good bait, but they seem to BREAK easy.

The shallow ones are AWESOME for trolling over weedtops or whenever you've got cisco's or something really high in the column, busting the surface. Not my favorite casting bait but not all bad either, again the shallow ones work great over rocks that top out real high.

Thanks,

I have a couple of their large suspending models and have cast them down to 5-6ft. Excellent action to them aswell.

Thanks Rough. Are you talking the size 26? If so, they look like they should go deeper with the curved lip and I do like the wide wobble they have.

The ones I'm talking about are the suspending ones with the smaller straight lip. A friend of mine uses the ones with the slightly larger lip that curves down and he's got them down to 7-8ft or so on a long cast with 80# braid. I think the package says 12ft but that must be trolling.

Yes, this lure dives from 4-8 feet, but the trolling speed was not mentioned on the lure box

It says trolling depth right on the box. I have one and usually casts to about 5-6' down from what it looks like. deeper if you crank harder.

They run about 14 feet on a 100 feet of 80lb Sufix Performance Braid. Lost a big one on Vermillion last fall trolling it.
