Location: janesville | stopped in at Dorns in Madison last Sunday to get some suckers for the day. we saw bnelson coming out and he said the suckers were all small. when we got in there we looked in the tanks and sure enough there were only some you would want to use for muskies. not saying you cant catch fish on small suckers. we talked to the guy in there and he said that they weren't going to be getting any bigger ones in anytime soon.he said because of the new bait laws? has any body else found that bait shops only have small suckers? |

| YES. Last year and this year suckers have been a pain to get suckers. I just worked out a deal with my bait shop until the end on November so finally, I should be set. I can't tell you how many calls, stop-ins, hr long drives I've done to get suckers.
If you let the bait shop know your good for X number a week - this might help. Often bait goes bad and the shop looses money. At 5, 6 or 7 bucks a pop this can really add up. |

| I went there this morning at 6:45 to get suckers only find out that they didn't open til 8am. I swear they used to open at six. I know I would have put a few more fish in the boat today if I had suckers |

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | The suckers I have gotten up in Phelps have been big. However, I know they got very few of them the last time I got some which was mid Sept. I just chalked it up to them not ordering many large ones yet as it was early for suckers. The ones I got were 16-18" long. |

Location: Roscoe IL | The big red barn just off I94 across from the access road to Pewaukee has the right size (13-16" range) bring a muck bucket and stock up. Just be prepared for $7 ea. Price of everything is going up, looked a chocolate lately or even orange juice? Waiting on gas to make its jump before the holidays come.. |

Maybe the guys trapping suckers should lay off the chocolate and orange juice! |
