I was on Bigwood Musky Lures website and saw this sweet looking 12" crankbait for only...$90! Looks like theyre built very well and I like the paint job but before I drop that much money on 1 lure I was wondering if anyone else has used this crankbait? Do they have good action? How deep do they run on the cast?

Thanks

They have a great action..... loose, not a tight wobble, and they wander. This lure has done very well in some minn tournaments. Captain pink sox (maker) visits this site. Ask him some questions, if he is not in depression caused by the Cleve Brownies..LOL

Sorry, i thought u were talking about duffs supernaturals. Hose baits are made by Shawn Maher, a canadian. They are top quality cedar, wired through with metal lips. They are nearly indestructible, and catch big fish.

Hey SWIm, Hosebaits are some of the best built baits I've ever used. Shawn (a.k.a. Hoser) has years of experience building baits with through-wire-construction and still puts a lot of time into building each bait. These Canadian baits are very hard to come by, especially in the U.S..
The Hose Daddy goes about 6' on a hard retrieve, has a unique belly action in not just a side to side action. I cast and twitch mine and have no fear of breaking the metal lips! This bait runs no deeper than 8' trolling.
The Flat Shad (with the giant metal lip) goes down about 26 ft trolling with some variance for line length and boat speed. I cast that one as well when fishing sheer rock walls. If you have any questions about the Hosebait or anything else, email me at [email protected] or call me at 952-693-1057.

Shawn makes a great bait! He will stand behind anything he makes. If you like big custom cranks you will not be disapointed in a Hosebait.
