What seems to be the favorite line of musky fisherman? I was looking @ Powerpro, maybe 80#, to put on a new reel.

Cortland for me. When I get a backlash with PP I normally have to get out a line pick.

Your going to get a lot of people that say PP is great but, why would you want to use a line that hasent changed for 12 years? I would go with just about any thing other than PP. I personally use suffix and cortland master braid.

tuffline xp is what I use but masterbraid is also very good. I don't like powerpro.

From what I have heard, might want to try the new Sufix 832. I havent used it, just read a lot about it. Maybe some others will have more insight

I have tried the Tuf Line XP and it holds way too much water for me. other than that, its pretty good. I used PP the most but this year switched 2 reels to Sufix and its now my FAVORITE line.

I've used most of the super braids and really don't have any complaint with any. The worst super braid is much better than the old best braid. I got a Revo Winch this summer and spooled it with 80# Suffix just to get the $6 rebate and I'm very happy with it.
