I have always been careful about keeping plastics separated in boxes. However, I never gave any thought to the possible consequences of setting plastics on top of a tv. Well, don't do it. I set a bulldawg and curly sue on top of my tv instead of taking them straight out to the peg board in the garage. The curly sue had a very mild reaction-just barely melted a scale pattern on the top. The bulldawg significantly melted the tv. You can't tell by looking at the dawg, but the tv melted everywhere the dawg was in contact. Scales, fin marks, indentations, the whole bit.

I bet the Curly Sue is formula X . Anything made with Formula X will eat up plastisol baits. I think Andy stopped making the Shack Attach lures 3 or 4 years ago with the Formula X stuff. I think Dunwright lures still use Formula X but I am not 100% sure. If it is SUPER stretchy then its Formula X and keep them away form all other plastisol lures like Bulldawgs, SuperDs and the recent Shack Attack lures, etc....

Don't know exactly when I set them on the tv, but I had them in the box in Wisconsin over labor day and took them out of the box before my trip to Shelbyille on September 19. So, maybe 2 weeks. The curly sue is only a couple of years old. It was a custom 11 curly sue in a glitter body with glow tail. I'll get some pics tonight.

Yep, plastisol will soften many hard plastics.

Anybody amazed by this must be somewhat younger. Rubber baits have done amazing damage to other tackle, plastic boxes, tackle boxes, and paint jobs over the years. Very reactive stuff with the right surface.

LOL about 3 years ago I got one of my old bass tackle boxes out. The worms literally ate through all of my hard plastic cranks. I was a little bumbed since some were my fathers and grandfathers. What a mess. Store "likes" with "likes"
