| Heading up a week from tomorrow for 5 days- weather reports down here seem to show a little warm-up... Any improvement in the action?
Any info I can use to prepare would be appreciated.
Thanks. |

Location: Lake of the Woods, Morson, Ontario | See Sabaskong Sept 2010 thread. Weather has made things very difficult the last couple of weeks. Can only get better if the winds calm a bit and stop changing directions daily.
Temps coming down nicely.

Location: Hayward, WI | Just got back Friday from 6 day trip. Fished Sabaskong & Whitefish with 5 boated (34-47) and 24 follows. Weather was mostly wet & windy and water temps varied from 56-60. Alot of stirred up water, and found the fish in clearer water when we could find it. Most of the fish caught on DBL 10's & Suicks. Best times were 10am to 2PM and most days only produced 1 hour of action. I have seen better Septembers but this was average as July & August are more productive. I would guess in about 10 days, there will be some great action to be had.

Location: Hayward, WI | 10 days; several reasons, the most important is the new moon phase will be approaching. Second, I believe it will take this long to get the water temps down to 50 degrees, Third, the water should get much clearer, and finally, the ski's will be on the rocks or out from them and will not be in the dying weeds. This should be prime time for casting rocks & trolling patterns around them.
