Location: Oconto Falls, WI | Definitely eating on Sat for us, but only suckers. Too bad we suck at keeping them pinned! 2 for 7, and the two we got were the smallest two to eat. Some rather “Big” WI fish were on the move! Rather frustrating but fun Sat. on the water. Lakes are flipping around in Vilas.

Location: Northwest Wisconsin | Nothing here but can't catch them in a bow stand. Heading out today to see what water temps are and hopefully raise a few. Love this time of year , hunting in the morning and fishing in the afternoon. |

| Fishing Pewaukee on Saturday in the Veterans Outing. Big storms with thunder and lightning came through the morning right before we launched. I had a blast fishing with Vet, Ken, but didn't boat any fish. Had 4 follows, one hit the eight, but was lost while I handed the rod off. Decent fish, about 34 or so.... Kind of tough right after the storm. |

Location: WI | Took my mom out on friday and got her a pike around 30", and a 35.5" musky. Took saturday off to chase grouse and didn't even flush one.
Sunday was going to fish hard before work but bottomed out my motor and ended up having problems with that. Hopefully it won't cost too much to fix or that will end my season prematurely. I did raise one smaller one 2 times and had it going on the 8 but it wouldn't eat. |

Location: Cedarburg, Wisconsin | Fished for a good week in NE Wis. The best lures far and away were all rotating tailspinner surface baits. I had a few hits on Boo Tails too. The fish were hitting short, blowing lures out of the water, etc. Tried jerks and casting cranks but they were useless. Got one trolling in deep water on a Swim Whiz but it was a lot of hours for that fish. Got one on a jig/creature too in 15 feet. Most fish seen were in the upper 30" range but had one nice one that looked about 30-32# up twice on surface lures a few days apart. Fun seeing it but would have been more fun to catch it. The temps dropped from upper 60's to 63 by the end of the 9 days and the active fish were sliding out deeper but still were in proximity to the good shallow structure. Rain and clouds good, sun bad. |
