As many of you know, there are proposals to stock 5 new waters in Minnesota with muskies. The DNR is accepting public input through the end of the month. In addition to calling or emailing your support, they also have an online survey available. This is the same form that was available for people to fill out that went to the public input meetings. It can't get any easier than this. Please take a minute to fill this out in support of all 5 of these proposals.

Thanks,
Aaron

Pass this on to everyone you know resident or non resident. The anti-fishing groups are working hard to stop new lakes as well as any stocking. We need to stuff this in their xmas stocking.

Another big note is that you do not have to be a license holder to give input. If you might come to Minnesota to fish and believe this stocking is important to the future of Muskie Fishing. Or like my grandson, you want the ability to fish Muskie closer to home without having to find someone to take you north. Even though he is not of age he has a valid interest in this great sport. Everytime we give a positive input, we get closer to the ability of seeing more Muskie in a years fishing. How many encounters wouold you like? This doesn't even mention taking a great broodstock pure strain that would be available to other states once the process is in full swing. It all starts with POSITIVE INPUT.

Hey Guys,

We really need to take a little time to not only do this yourself, but contact other people you know. Family, Friends, Co-Workers etc... They do not have to be Muskie Fishermen. I was surprised on how much support I could round up and the willingness from others to do so.

Those against this are still being quite vocal and motivated. It seems that our side has lost a little steam. We still have two weeks to get the word out so LETSDO IT!!! Lets not look back after the fact and Say " I wish we would have done more"

The latest MN Outdoor News has a half page paid advertisement; as well as commentary accusing the MN DNR of fraud in their research as well as implying an unfair relationship with Muskie Anglers. This is no joke guys and gals, these people are out of control and will stop at nothing including compromising their own dignity to achieve their goal. Stopping Muskie stocking statewide.

You can also write or call with your comments,

I'd like to thank everyone who's called, shown-up, emailed or given input on these lakes.

To everyone else: DO IT NOW!!!!!

Almost every single person I speak to complains how packed the lakes are. Here's your chance to get what you want! Take the 2 minutes and give your input to the DNR. You can see what we're up against. Heck, the MDAA is paying thousands of dollars to NOT stock these lakes! Get out there and recruit all your buddies and family members and get them to give input as well. At the end of the day it's going to be our apathy if these lakes don't get through.

I thought that we were getting roosevelt but evidenlty it's still in the air, seems like all the lakes that seemed to be a go ahead at one point in time are up in the air. I'm worried we are going to lose out, everybody needs to step up and help out our sport, walleye guys get everything they want always and give basically nothing back but keep the fish, muskie fishing we give back, it's our time to get some fish, but we won't if more people don't step up!

Posted to facebook, filled out and done. I get a kick out of the 35% of waters are stocked and only 8.5% of anglers fished for muskies. I must have missed that survey. I know it's 35% of surface water, not number. It's funny how they skew numbers to appear that muskies are everywhere. Most times I tell someone I fish for muskies they want me to bring them out with me.

I'm assuming a huge chunk of that 35% that they use is LOTW acreage, where nearly all the muskies are in the Canadian portion of the lake. Interesting use of data.

A huge thank you to everyone that has offered your support so far. Let's keep it coming, we're going to need it with propaganda like the ad posted above.

OK, hate to say this but it's time to go into action to counter the Darkhouse misinformation campaign. I have no problem with the dispute, but do with the tactics...bad business.

I need a press release done to address each section of that advertisement. Treats and anyone else who wants to assist in getting me the information I need to get this written and distributed, give me a call Monday. 715.680.9265.

Anyone know why the Outdoor News would allow something like this in their pages? Anyone have any contacts at the Outdoor News? Anyone have any idea what it would cost to get a similar advertisement debunking these "facts." I live in freaking Iowa and I am willing to pony up some cash to get a counter advertisement printed. This is ridiculous.

Dude, I'll have a sixer down in the time it takes you to walk to the fridge.

I'll be glad to help with anything needed. Would be a shame to see this not pass. Multi species anglers, non Musky anglers, and Musky anglers all need this. Will spread pressure, allow for less travel for some in these economic times, while improving the economy in the locales in question.

Steve I'll call you after 3:30 when I get off work and give you as much detail about Tetonka as I can. If your interested I have all sorts of letters to editors from the lake assoc. I love hearing how much they love THIER lake and fish as they are poisoning every weed bed in order to make it into a 1300 acre pool.

Its a pathetic read and very disappointing to see an Organization such as the Darkhouse anglers resorting to something like this.
Accusing the DNR of having "special interests"? What does the Darkhouse Anglers Assoc gain by Muskies not being stocked?
Its almost comical how they use the study results and say how there were declines in certain populations of fish like crappies and walleyes. Northern Pike have a much bigger impact on these fish populations than Muskies.
So lets have a bunch of armchair biologists chime in and give the opposition more fodder.
