I was in the old blue lund 15ft tril hull with musky decals on each side of the stern, my boat kinda sticks out on pewaukee among all the big rangers and tuffys lol. but i was heading off the lake at 6, sounds like i should stuck around for another half hour... |

| I went out on Saturday with "Vegas." We were in Geoff's Ranger (red/black/silver). In terms of fish...
Geoff had a small (low 30s) fish chase his bait and nearly jump out of the water in an attempt to eat it. I'm not sure Geoff was ready for this as the bait had tangled up a bit. This was around 1 p.m.
Shortly after, around 2 p.m. I had a big (low 40s) fish come in on a bait and while making the turn on the 8, I got tangled in the sucker line. Totally my fault. The fish followed it around and swam off after I messed up. I am confident I would have had a good shot at that fish if it were not for the sucker line.
Finally, around 4 p.m. I had a big (upper 30s) fish come in, chase on the 8, great hook set, fish was on for 3 seconds and I had my drag too tight. I lifed the fish out of the water right by the boat and with a head shake it spit the hook (#*^@).
Either way, we had fun and it was great to see the fish moving again. Nothing on the suckers.
Ps I think I saw you in the blue Lund. Was someone in camo colored pants or top with gray hair or beard? I think you saw me miss my fish on the 8. However, I was trying to be quite because there was like 5 boats around Stupid sucker line.
Hope to see you out again.

| Don't worry about not getting too much action on Pewaukee.
She's much different than last year and catching a fish takes a lot more effort. To be successful, you need to adapt to the changes in the lake.
Dave should have put two very nice fish in the boat on Saturday. Next time. Always next time. You should have seen the one he hooked come in after his bait, that fish was just freaking out trying to track the bait and eat it!!! Very cool to see. |

Location: Wauwatosa, Wisconsin | I'm not too worried about not getting action, that's musky fishing. It took me almost 2 seasons to get my first. And this is the most I've fished pewaukee in the past 3 years. I haven't been able to go out since I haven't had my own boat since this season. I'll keep pluggin away learnin it better and better everytime I go out. Can't wait for the iroman tournament, it's going to be my first fishing tourny ever. Best of luck the rest of season guys |
