Very shallow clear waters:

Anyone using mono/nylon lines over braids for visibility issues? If so why?

Leaders, are the fluoro's really worth the $$? Is leader visibility an issue.

They talk about the stretch factor and the ability to feel the fish and a easier hook set. I've switched to fluoro leaders on the majority of rods I use and the only time I use mono is with a couple of sucker applications. If you tie your own leaders it isn't that big of a difference in price. But you still have to feel that if the muskie wants the bait it's going to eat anything with any presentation, ask some of the pan fisherman how many stringers been hit.

Weren't all those muskie world records caught years ago using that thick black line? I would say it's not a big factor.
