Was up in Alex this weekend and wow what a great weekend. We boated 11 fish from Friday to Monday. The weekend started out slow with my buddies getting two small ones 30's, and by noon me getting a 43". Sat. They got a 44 and a 42, and missing 3 fish. me seeing 2. Sunday was slow with my buddies missing 2 more fish and me seeing 2 and letting a small 30 shake off boat side. Until nightfall when I nailed a 40 on a supermodel. Sunday morning I slept in and one again my buddies let another one get away. They came in to eat and then we headed back out. I went to a spot I knew a certain fish hung out and 1st cast bam! even before my partner could get a cast off. Heck of a fight and I got a gorgeous 47" in the boat. Next spot 25 min later had a 39" grab my DC right next to the boat and in the net with the hooks flyin free. Trolling motor dead we had to go in. The wind picking up we decided to hit a shoreline that hadn't got much pressure. 5th cast my net man "got em'!". Nice 42 in the boat. The a aggressive follow 10 min. later. Down the shore casting away My net man says There I think was one following your lure. I jump to the back of the boat immediately start reeling and "I got em"!!!!" A nice 44" My buddies lost 2 and one being upper 40"s as this all went down. The rain came and then the lightning and we had to call it. What a weekend. No 50's for all those who have to catch that for fun, but we had a blast . Anyone else have some luck?
