When weighting a lure do you always want the lure to sit upright in the water or is it ok if they float somewhat on their side and will they straighten out. I havnt castes it yet just sat in a bucket of water.I just don't want to weight it too much and ruin the action if I don't have to.

LandonF,
Well I guess it would depend on the type of lure you lure trying to create? From my experience you do not want the lure lure layin on its side. It will have no action at all.lol. Weigh the lure to sit upright and have a nice belly flash (roll side to side). From there add more or less weight to achieve your desired sink rate. Good luck, RickJames
