Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Does anyone know who makes a digital camera with a programmable timer? I have a nice little camera that does a 2-shot on a timer, but the timer is sometimes a bit quick to offer enough time to grab a fish out of the bag and get in position AFTER the timer is started. Would be nice to have a camera that could be set for like 15 or 20 seconds so a guy could count in his head then grab and go for a quick pose. |

| for timing a picture right, i have the net very close to the camera,
so reach down with one hand, get a good grip, reach over with the other,
hit your button, pop the fish out get into postion, snap. done.
it works awesome!

Location: Pickering, ON | There's lots of cameras with continuous shooting timer mode. It is designated by the timer symbol with a C on my Canon Powershot. Basically, it waits 10 seconds, then starts shooting continuously. |

Location: Verona, WI | Cowboy - try an Olympus Stylus 300. It's an older camera that you can find on ebay but has a handheld wireless remote control. I use it a lot to take pictures and they turn out pretty good (see attached). Stage your camera, grab the fish, hit the remote and take the pic, release fish. It's quick and then you are not sitting around waiting for a timer. Camera's also weather proof.

| I've got a Canon Powershot Elph 12 mega pixel. You can program mulitple picture bursts on any length of timer you want. Mine is set on a 10 second delay, 5 picture burst in about 10 seconds. Push the button, grab the fish, and smile! Fish is out of the water less than 30 seconds and you have 5 pics to choose from. With the 2 second delay between pics you have a little time to reposition for each pic to make sure you get a good shot. Take the pics on the largest reslolution you can and you can crop all you want when you get home and have a nicely centered full frame pic. Getting good shots is all about taking as many pictures as you can in the time you have.

Location: Northern Wisconsin | My gf's camera has a face self timer, you set it, it waits until it recognizes a face in the frame and takes 3 pics. I never got a chance to use it on a fish because I didn't have a tripod or clamp to put the camera on, and in a 14 foot rowboat with waves there was no where to put the camera where it wouldn't tip over. |
